Sketch of Woman With Long Neck

A Sketch of A Woman With A Long Neck

She doesn't really have a long neck but I was trying to get a flowing graceful line relationship between the hair and the rest of her. The right shoulder is down and the hair sweeps behind it I thought it would be beautiful. I only worked on it for about an hour and had to go on to other things and never really finished it to my satisfaction.

Charcoal and Pencil Sketch of a woman

In my resource material the lighting was behind which made it a very difficult project, I felt I needed to push my skills a little so I gave it a try.

I used pencil and charcoal for this one. The pencil was a Hb and the charcoal pencils were hb and medium and extra soft. I used mostly the medium charcoal pencil. There was a little of the extra soft in the eyes, lower hair and the lips. The pencil was used mainly in the outlay of the features in the beginning and then brought back for the finishing details around the eyes and the mouth.
