This is a picture I sketched while my son was at the Doctor's office. She was in a magazine ad. I used a charcoal pencil to sketch her and used a blending stub to smooth. When I got home on a whim I took a bristle brush to the black areas and continued blending, since the paper had a texture the brush gave a deeper black. It was a quick drawing and I would have done things different if I had more time. I am especially happy with the eyes, and the general pose. This might make a study for a more abstract portrait, we'll see.
